A septic system (as known as on-site wastewater treatment system – OWTS) is a method of treating wastewater when connecting to a sewer network in not available. We have individuals in our Alamosa and Pagosa Springs office that assist clients throughout southern Colorado with design of individual septic systems.

Yes, DES is on San Juan Basin Health District’s list of Registered Competent Soil Technicians.

OWTS are designed specifically for your property. The costs associated to meet a design provided can vary significantly.
1). Subsurface material – OWTS take into account subsurface material types. Bedrock for instance will change how the design is configured.
2). Size of Residence – the number of bedrooms are considered during the design process to properly size a OWTS.
DES works with Contractors, and if required to be a certified installer, we can provide reccommendation. Contact our office to let us know where your project is.
