Davis Engineering Service provided construction services to the City of Cortez for a construction project that started in June of 2018. The project consisted of making improvements to ADA ramps in downtown Cortez. A Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing was installed between Big R and McDonalds. Four medians were also installed in downtown Cortez.

The City of Cortez obtained state funding from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for work items within the CDOT right-of-way. DES provided engineering support for construction review, contract administration and generating required project documentation.

Construction is currently in progress and is anticipated to be completed by spring 2019.
