Stormwater Management
Maintaining water quality during construction.
What impacts are you planning for?
During construction disturbances are made to the project limits. Construction projects take place next to rivers, areas with mature trees or vegetation, or sit upstream to bodies of water. Engineering design is to consider direct and adjacent impacts to the project. Plans and controls can be implemented as best management practices (BMP’s) to achieve water quality control. DES provides stormwater management planning (SWMP) and design for construction projects.
Our SWMP’s are used to assist with state permitting and provide Contractors stormwater information for the project.
